About the DEI Working Group
A collaborative platform for inclusive workforce development
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Working Group of the European Chips Skills Alliance brings together industry, academia, training providers, and other stakeholders who want to help build a more inclusive semiconductor workforce.
It provides a space to exchange best practices, share initiatives, and contribute expertise that can strengthen inclusion across Europe’s microelectronics ecosystem. The group meets quarterly and welcomes participants from both within and beyond the semiconductor sector.

About the European Chips Skills Alliance
The European Chips Skills Alliance is a multi-stakeholder network connecting industrial companies, universities, vocational education and training providers, national Chips Competence Centres, and other organisations involved in microelectronics education and training.
Established as part of the long-term action plan of the METIS project and formalised under the European Chips Skills Academy, the Alliance supports collaboration across Europe to address the semiconductor skills shortage and strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in the microelectronics sector.
It provides a platform for stakeholders to share best practices, coordinate skills initiatives, and collaborate on workforce development activities for the semiconductor industry.

Promoting inclusive participation
Encouraging women and other underrepresented groups to pursue careers in microelectronics and the wider semiconductor sector.
