A flexible and inclusive mentorship experience for Europe’s microelectronics sector

The European MentorChip Exchange Programme brings mentors and mentees together to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion across Europe’s microelectronics sector.

Why the MentorChip Exchange Programme?

The European Chips Diversity Alliance (ECDA) created the European MentorChip Exchange Programme to build a flexible and accessible mentorship network across Europe’s microelectronics sector.

Our purpose is simple but powerful:

Empower underrepresented and emerging talent with access to guidance and networks.
Break down barriers to equitable participation in microelectronics.
Promote innovation and competitiveness through inclusion.
Strengthen collaboration between academia, research, and industry.
Build a lasting community committed to inclusive excellence.

Together, we are shaping a sector where every voice counts.

How it works

A flexible and inclusive mentorship experience

The programme is designed to be community-driven and accessible to all.

Hybrid model

Online mentoring via a private LinkedIn group, complemented by in-person flash mentoring sessions at ECDA events.

Organic connections

No rigid algorithms. Mentors and mentees connect naturally based on shared goals and interests.

Flexible commitment

There is no obligation for regular meetings. Each mentoring relationship is self-driven and adapts to participants’ time, availability, and preferences.

Community dynamics

Monthly discussion prompts, spotlight stories, and resource sharing keep the dialogue vibrant.

Safe, moderated space

ECDA Ambassadors and the ECDA team help ensure inclusivity, support, and engagement.
